Ilikai Apt Building #1004

The Ilikai Apartment Building (same as the Hotel) is one of Oahu's most popular vacation rental condos. Built in 1964 but constantly being updated and maintained in the common areas, many people including myself cannot believe the building was built over half a century ago. This unit, #1004 offers magnificent ocean views, and 2 pools, and the beach is conveniently away. Many great restaurants are within walking distance including the Food Pantry grocery store for travelers who prefer to cook.

*Important notice*
The unit will undergo renovations of the kitchen and bathroom and completion of the work will be in September 2025.
Therefore, the unit will look different from the current pictures. We will update the photos after completing the renovation.
The bed size will not change.

Please understand that we cannot promise an early check in or a late check out as we may experience back-to-back bookings.
If you would like us to guarantee your early check in, we will need to ask you to book a day earlier as well to secure that date.

PARKING
If you plan on renting a car, we suggest contacting the hotel for the valet parking rates. The last time I checked the parking rates were $45/day. There is also public paid parking along the boat harbor with a rate of $1/hour.
If you only need a car for one day, some of our guests have rented a car just for the day from the car rental facilities in Waikiki, but make reservations in advance as they get rented quickly.

Please note, we don’t refill the welcome kit and you will purchase your own when these items run out.

-NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE or towel/linen change. Coin-operated washers and dryers are available.
-NO DESIGNATED PARKING. However, the building offers Valet parking. Please inquire Ilikai Hotel directly for the most current rate.
-NO beach goods such as beach towels, beach chairs, or beach umbrellas are provided.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE — July 9, 2025**
Starting the week of July 28, 2025, a licensed contractor will begin spalling repairs and full exterior painting of the building. Balcony access and use for this condo will be restricted from February 21, 2026 to June 29, 2026 (approx. dates). Construction noise will be limited to 9 AM – 5 PM per house rules. Guests can use lanais after 5 PM once contractors finish for the day.

  We had a lovely 10-night stay in this suite at the Ilikai in October. It was very clean, looked as good as in the photos and was very comfortable for our family of three. The Ilikai is in a great location on the pink trolley line, a short walk to the Ala Moana Center, and also has excellent amenities.

  We always stay at Ilikai... the hotel is very clean , lobby is relaxing , great coffee and icecream spot on main floor.
  
  We thoroughly enjoy this particular suite mainly for the view. The place is abit outdated ( esp the kitchen) stove from the 70’s but then again, it did work .. especially since we cooked majority of meals in room .
  Well stocked with utensils/ cooking pots/pans.
  Bathroom very outdated , shower tiles need to be changed .
  Our biggest issue was the air conditioner, too small for the unit, very old and has a water tray which we had to empty 2-3 times a day or it would overflow.
  
  Overall, it’s truly the view that we enjoyed the most.

  The condo had great views of the marina, ocean and beautiful sunsets, easy access from the elevator. Valet parking was convenient but pricey. Great location to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Kitchen was a little small and could use some upgrades and the vents throughout the condo need to be cleaned thoroughly, but does work fine for a short stay. The manager was great, answered any questions via email very promptly.

  Over the years, I have always enjoyed staying in the condo units of the ILIKAII. Many years ago with my family. I still enjoy have good memories of staying there in the past and I’m very happy to return. The condo I stayed in Nov 17 thru 28, was bright, clean, comfortable.. and best of all ... gave me the southern ocean and courtyard view that I always want.. I prefer staying on a higher floor level , so was happy with the 10th floor. I always feel safe with all aspects of the ILIKAII.
  It’s so nice to have the easy access to the beach.
  
  I would suggest that the condo owner should replace the stove top elements as they are damaged, and unusable. I could not cook on any of the elements.
  
  But overall, I totally enjoyed my stay.
  And very impressed with the professionalism of the management company.

  Wonderful location on the outskirts of Waikiki. Enjoyed adult swim time at the pool every morning. Definitely relied on the AC as afternoon sun hits the Makai side windows, but can't beat having an ocean view in the morning. Valet parking service was amazing.   We love staying at Llikai we felt location of condo is prefect. The view from our room was great exactly like I could imagine. We like the convenience of having a small market in the lobby the price where not outrages. If you stay here, you need to stop at Dave ice cream so delicious specially the coconut macadamia ice cream. The service was great for the condo I had 2 small issues they were immediately on phone and helping. We also asked for early check in and they conveniently allowed us. The condo had plenty of room for the 2 of us and was very clean. They had basic needs for uses in the kitchen. If 1 thing I could say about the condo probably needs is maybe update towels and sheets. Parking will be a extra cost if you have a rental car.

  Had a wonderful stay at this property. It is a bit dated but it is very clean with many amenities provided.. The view is why you should stay here, to look out on the harbour and ocean is amazing! The location of the hotel is great, has many amenities including 2 pools! The property managers are very helpful and I was so impressed with their prompt response to any inquiry! The food pantry is a short walk away with a fresh deli and full grocery store so you can enjoy the lanai at times without going out to eat.

  The location is great, the kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook just about any meal. Property managers are quick to respond and help with problems such as locking yourself out at 10pm.   The unit is dated but it is clean, large, and has an unbeatable view that makes you forget everything else. You get first look at the Ala Moana Bowls surfing spot. The agency was super helpful when we locked ourselves out. The building is 56 years old but is legendary in Waikiki (see the Hawaii Five-O Opening Credits) and is close to Ala Moana and everything else. We were able to park for free in the overflow parking of one of the hotels next door (can't promise you will be able to do that when COVID is over). That made coming in and out super easy. We could also easily drive to one of the surfing rentals spots on Waikiki (Moku, StarBeach Boys) who have parking right next door so the distance was not a problem.

  My favorite thing about this room was the lanai and the view from our room was awesome.also there were some really nice beach chairs available the location is perfect. Only one thing wasn’t good the fridge did not work , management was quick to respond but we didn’t feel like we were going to be there long enough to need to get it fixed before we left. I’m also hoping the deposit will be returned.

  Location was great. View was phenomenal. The unit however is very much in need of renovating. The range was filthy as well as kitchen and bathroom vents. Kitchen very disorganized and found 2 potatoes in a bowl in lower cupboard. So cleaning????Eating facilities not comfortable. Chairs too large and heavy for eating.
